The Planning Team for GLAD Alliance’s involvement in the 2005 General Assembly is working steadily to assure a visible and audible presence for GLBT and affirming Disciples at the biennial Disciple gathering in Portland, Oregon this summer. For individual planning purposes, here are some preliminary details for GLAD members and friends.
Attend the GLAD Event and . . .

The GLAD Event will be held on Saturday, July 23 at a location convenient to the convention center.
The GLAD Event is tentatively scheduled to begin about 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m. and will include a continental breakfast and lunch. Further details, including registration information, will be available in April and will be posted at http://www.gladalliance.org/events.html when available.
The speaker at the GLAD Banquet will be John Thomas, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ. The GLAD Banquet will be held during the evening of Sunday, July 24. Time, location and ticket information will be available in April. (More information about our banquet speaker here.)

Volunteers are needed to assist with local
arrangements, setting up and staffing the Coming Out Labyrinth, Shower of Stoles, and GLAD
