We have been praying for Vaughn who has been battling Cancer. Recently Vaughn sent us these notes:
Greetings and Happy New Year!
I have much to be thankful for as I look at the wonderful improvement of my health as I continue this battle with cancer. I finished my chemo and radiation this week and am seeing my energy coming back in healthy ways. I meet with several doctor's over the next two weeks to see what improvements have been achieved.
Your prayers have met much.

BELIEVE
"Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!" - Isaiah 2:5
To spend a month in the hospital, to go through treatments for cancer, causes one to step back and re-evaluate all of life. Also, it gives one the opportunity to see the support and kindness of so many. It has done so for me.
I cannot begin to list all the prayers for healing, the cards, the visits, the rides, the special live music, and many other measures of support. I am blessed, indeed.
One of the special gifts given to me during my hospital stay was a wall-hanging that says "believe". What a special gift. It reminds me that as a believer I can have confidence that all my future is in God's hands. More importantly, it reminds me that a believing people can have confidence in a believable God. Someone to count on.
Are we not called to be followers, believers, of the one who created us - with a call given to love others? Are we not led to believe in others and in ourselves, treasuring everyone and everything?
O Believers, let us continually walk in that light of the Lord!
