Some notes from our GLAD family
From Pam Webb
| Dear Friends,
As most of you know I'm on short term disability for a year to discover the journey of treatment I need to take for a pitutary tumor which is affecting my growth hormones, and making me insulin resistant and lowering my levels of potassium severly. Hey I've always been a bit of puzzle, right? I moved to Danbury CT to begin seeing speciality doctors and be near my brother incase major surgury is required. Well he just got a new exciting job so I'm moving to Dallas TX with them, although I'll be staying in my own apartment. I will be shutting down the computer this weekend and may not get it back up for a couple of weeks.

I consider it nothing short of a miracle!
I found out in January that the cancer is now gone. I tired of 5 weeks in the hospital, chemo and radiation treatments. I have been working hard to gain my health back, and my doctor's insist on seeing me every 2 weeks. My MD's are amazed at the progress. While there is still a ways to go in the healing department, I received permission to return to work on March 1. The energy of this congregation has been amazing. I cannot express how wonderful the cards and prayers have meant. They displayed true love and the amazing grace of God and God's people. I am blessed, indeed. Peace, Vaughn Beckman |
