The next Holy Relationships Midwest Regional Conference will be held October 19 through October 21, 2006, in Iowa City, Iowa. The mission of the conference is to promote the full inclusion of a wide variety of sexual and gender identities in Christian churches, by naming holy those relationships defined by: Unconditional love, mutuality, intimacy, trust, boundaries, and accountability. The keynote speakers include Rita Nakashima Brock from the Disciples and Mel White from Soulforce. A few of the many workships are Holy Relationship with Self, Holy Relationship With Family of Origin, Christian Theology and Holy Relationships, Gender Identities — Gender and Transgender, and Unholy Relationships — Interlocking Oppressions.
